How is my child's school information a security risk?
Parents should keep personal information — such as where their child attends school — confidential. Adversaries can use a child's name and school affiliation to craft a convincing text message or email, posing as a doctor, teacher, or trusted authority, to persuade you to provide additional personal information or send money. Physical risks are also present, including stalking, harassment, and other forms of targeting.
